What chromosomal set is characteristic for pulp cells of pine needles and sperm? Explain from what source cells and as a result of what division these cells are formed
1) in the cells of pine needles, the set of chromosomes is 2n; in pine sperm – n;
2) an adult pine plant develops from the zygote (2n) (or, the pulp cells of the needles by mitosis from other pulp cells);
3) pine sperm develop from haploid microspores (n) through mitosis
