What is the difference between asexual and sexual reproduction?

1) one individual participates in asexual reproduction; the descendants that have appeared are genetically similar to the mother;
2) two individuals participate in sexual reproduction; the descendants that appear are genetically diverse, since they combine the characteristics of the maternal and paternal individuals; during sexual reproduction, new characters may appear as a result of recombination of parental genes.
