| The ash light of the Moon is the light of the Sun reflected from the Earth onto the dark surface of the satellite.
The ashlight of Venus is a faint glow from the unlit side of the planet in the phase between conjunctions and the first quarter. It is possible that the physical nature of this glow is the same as that of the glow of the earth’s atmosphere.
