What is the rotation period of the Sun?

The angular velocity of the Sun’s rotation decreases with distance from the equator to the poles. At the equator, the period is 25 days, in the polar regions – about 30 days. For an observer on Earth, which itself revolves around the Sun, the rotation period of the equatorial zone of the Sun is 27 days.
