| The growth of Australopithecus ranged from one meter to one and a half. Characteristically, the brain size was about 350-550 cm3, that is, like in modern gorillas and chimpanzees. For comparison, the brain of a modern person has a volume of about 1200-1500 cm3. The brain structure of Australopithecus was very primitive.
