Why are moral standards necessary?

Moral standards apply to all people. They regulate the behavior of society. Moral norms are in the mind of a person, therefore they oblige to act for the good of the world around them.
Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
