| The Earth, like other bodies in the solar system, was subjected to intense meteorite bombardments. The almost complete absence of craters on the Earth’s surface is currently evidence of intense water and wind erosion and the presence of soil covering these formations. Nevertheless, as a result of searches, more than 100 impact craters were found on the Earth’s surface.
