Why does the Earth, like other planets, not have the shape of an ideal ball?

Due to the centrifugal force caused by the daily rotation, the Earth, like other planets, is flattened at the poles.
Most people mistakenly believe that our planet has the shape of an ideal ball. The word “ball” does not even refer to the planets of the Solar System by a large measure. In science, the shape of the Earth is usually called an “ellipse” – a figure similar to a squeezed ball at the poles, which vaguely resembles a ball that was squeezed strongly by hands. This form was the result of the constant rotation of the planet around its axis.

Remember: The process of learning a person lasts a lifetime. The value of the same knowledge for different people may be different, it is determined by their individual characteristics and needs. Therefore, knowledge is always needed at any age and position.
